FileMaker Pro 7 Beats Access |
|
Government Computer News (GCN) has honored FileMaker Pro 7 with its
"Reviewer's CHOICE" award as the top desktop database software in the
April 25, 2005 issue, beating Microsoft Access 2003, Alpha Five Version
6 and Corel Paradox 11.
The applications were graded based on user interface, features,
performance and price. In winning the award, FileMaker Pro 7 received
the only overall grade of "A."
FileMaker Pro 7 is "an excellent choice for agencies" and is "still
about the easiest desktop database to use and includes helpful security
features for sharing data," reports GCN.
"FileMaker Pro is one of the leading databases used by local, state and
federal government agencies because it helps them improve services and
reduce administrative overhead, while containing costs," said Ryan
Rosenberg, vice president of marketing and services for FileMaker.
"FileMaker empowers agencies to streamline processes, maintain public
records, manage critical information, track projects, share data and
generate custom forms. We are proud to have received this recognition
from Government Computer News."
GCN's "Reviewer's CHOICE" is the latest of more than 25 awards and
top-rated reviews bestowed upon FileMaker Pro 7 since the product's
launch in March, 2004. In 2004 alone, FileMaker Pro won more awards
than those given to its seven top competitors combined.
